Overview Position Overview At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), the Vendor Costing Coordinator is responsible for managing and importing reliable pricing data from each of FBM’s partner vendors. This role ensures supplier data is continually accurate, consistent, and imported into the FBM environment successfully and promptly. The Vendor Costing Coordinator works closely with Pricing, Supply Chain, Product Management, Distribution Center Operations, Finance, and Sales to ensure pricing accuracy, and operational efficiency. This role also supports strategic purchasing opportunities that improve margins and strengthen FBM's competitive position. Responsibilities and Qualifications Key Responsibilities Vendor & Supplier Management Maintain relationships, pricing communication with more than 100 partner vendors. Monitor, Track & Prepare for future vendor price increases and changes. Obtain, and import vendor price files. Validate pricing, affected regional markets/branches and product Unit of Measures. Work with suppliers to resolve pricing, price file discrepancies. Add, maintain vendor cross references to ensure costs are applied to all corresponding FBM product codes. Add, maintain product multipliers and adders to account for supplier UOM variances. Import vendor price files. Cross-Functional Collaboration Support Pricing Managers & Coordinators by ensuring accurate, prompt supplier costs. Support Purchasing by populating and maintaining EDI cross references and vendor product codes. Connect with Sales and Operations regularly to navigate any pricing, rebate and market changes. Coordinate with the Product Management team to navigate any product data related changes. Work closely with FBM DC Operations to maintain costs and add new product cross references. Similarly, work closely with partner vendors to maintain costs and add product cross references. Reporting & Analysis Monitor for EDI and Costing cross reference gaps on newly created product codes. Identify and suggest any/all opportunity for automation. Recommend process improvements that increase operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management experience preferred.  Experience managing vendor pricing and purchasing operations. Strong analytical and data management skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. Experience working within ERP systems. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience supporting building materials or industrial distribution. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of costing, pricing and inventory management principles. Ability to analyze large data sets and identify trends. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management and organizational abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Customer-focused mindset with commitment to operational excellence. Working Conditions Remote position and/or neighboring FBM office/branch. Frequent use of computers and ERP systems. May require occasional extended hours during major pricing updates or system implementations. Physical Requirements Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings. Compensation and Benefits Reports To Vendor Costing   Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Base: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour Bonus: 10% Target Bonus Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $55,000 to $77,000 Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants.
