Our Structural Team takes pride in providing technically sound, practical, safe and effective engineering solutions for complex real-world challenges.  Responsibilities, Requirements, and Total Rewards What You’ll Be Doing As a valuable part of our  Structural Building Design Team , an  Entry Level Staff Engineer  will support a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience with responsibilities such as: Support the structural design of vertical construction projects such as new buildings, renovations, and additions under the guidance of senior engineers Assist in developing designs using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood in compliance with applicable building codes and project requirements Contribute to the preparation of structural drawings, design reports, specifications, and calculation packages using software tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis programs Observe construction, support construction administration, review equipment submittals, respond to contractor questions during construction, and perform field surveys of existing structural engineering services Participate in quality assurance efforts, such as peer reviews and checklist-based deliverable reviews, to help ensure accuracy and completeness What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Passed your FE Exam and obtained your EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027 Familiarity with structural analysis concepts, software, and coursework or internship experience in structural engineering design permitting, consulting, or construction observation Strong written and verbal communication skills Eagerness to learn, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and excellent organizational skills Preferred Requirements Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural  A minor, concentration, or other degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture Experience with structural design software such as STAAD, RISA, or similar and experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or Microstation Your Financial and Wellness Benefits Compensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range below The annual salary for a  Staff Engineer 1  in  Structural Building Design Engineering  is set at  $81,952 for a candidate graduating with a  Bachelor's degree The annual salary for a  Staff Engineer 1  in  Structural Building Design Engineering  is set at  $86,112 for a candidate graduating with a  Master's degree Annual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Best in Class Medical Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance Wellness Rewards and Reimbursements Tuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown Contributions Reimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and Fees Hybrid Work Environment Pet Insurance and Adoption Assistance More Information about Tighe & Bond Ways to Grow Your Career We provide a structured career path with opportunities for professional development through tuition reimbursement, internal training, conference attendance, and professional memberships.
