We   are currently seeking a n   Electrician Journeyman   to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant.  This plant produces granules   from raw material   for our   vertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation.   IKO Industries Ltd. is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials. Quality, integrity, and trustworthiness are the values that underline this success, and we have built this company by hiring people who hold these values.   Job Summary   The Electrician Journeyman  is responsible for  installing,  maintaining , troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the granule manufacturing plant. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of plant machinery, motors, control systems, instrumentation, and facility electrical systems while  maintaining  compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. This role will   report   to the Electrical Supervisor.   Job Responsibilities   Install,  maintain , troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, machinery, and control systems.   Diagnose and correct electrical failures using testing and diagnostic equipment.   Maintain and repair motors, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation.   Perform prevent at ive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.   Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.   Install conduit, wiring, panels, switches, and related electrical components.   Support plant production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.   Assist with equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.   Ensure compliance with MSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and company safety standards.   Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.   Utilizing Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)   Maintain  accurate  maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.   Collaborate with operators, production personnel, and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues.   Qualifications   Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent trade qualification.   High school diploma or GED  required .   Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience preferred.   Experience with manufacturing, processing, or industrial plant operations preferred.   Experience in implementing electrical safety.   Experience with electrical lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.   Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and industrial automation .   Knowledge of Allen Bradley AC Drives, ControlLogix PLC, Relay Logic skills is an asset   Proficient in troubleshooting,   diagnosing   and testing PLC automated circuit,   motors   and motor control circuits    A bility to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.   Knowledge of relevant electrical safety codes   Knowledge of   various instrumentation sensors and transmitters   Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)   Ability to work with minimal supervision   Ability to lead , guide, and mentor junior electricians   Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential   Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities   Must be able to work in a team setting with   other   tradesman   Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.   Rotating   shift , holidays, and overtime may be  required .   Must wear  required  personal protective equipment (PPE).   Ability to  lift up  to 50   pounds.   Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment.   Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces as  required .   Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift   Safety and Compliance   The   Electrician Journeyman   is expected to   comply with   all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times .    The   Electrician Journeyman   must prioritize safety in all   tasks .    This is a   safety   sensitive position.   Benefits   of Employment   Competitive   Pay   – Compensation $44.00 per hour   Health , Dental,   Vision   and Life   Insurance   Health Spending Account   Employee Support and Mental Wellness   Short-term and   L ong-term Disability   401k Match   Paid   V acation   Employee Assistance Program   Employee Engagement Events   Tuition Reimbursement   Employee Perks & Discounts   Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
