Delivery Coordinator Supervisor

Our team of experts is dedicated to staying ahead of the curve in the aerospace and defense industry, utilizing the latest technologies and processes to ensure that we deliver the best possible solutions to our customers.   POSITION SUMMARY   The Delivery Coordinator (Delco) Supervisor is responsible for the Delivery Coordinator Team. They ensure timely delivery of products , communicate statuses and delivery plans.    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES   Coordinate and direct internal and externals customer orders through the manufacturing process.   Respond to delivery related or product related inquiries as needed. This includes direct communication with plant operations, scheduling, planning, warehouse , shipping, CSR team and quality.   Track and update recovery plans for the facility.   Work with the delivery coordinator team to m aintain delivery schedules to ensure timely completion (horse blankets, LOB, etc.), Communicate clear and timely status’ through tools to customers.   Hire, train, mentor, and schedule delivery coordinator personnel .   Lead and attend meetings and calls within and out of the company.   Constantly looking to identify obstacles early, actively working to resolve those impediments, and escalate when needed.   Work closely with site operations to ensure stable workflow of orders, priorities, and stock management (i.e., stagnant WIP, work order issues, holds). This includes direct communication with the Master Schedulers, Materials Managers and Central Planning Manager.   Work closely with scheduling, adhering to capacity and specific site limitations. With sites that have a master scheduler to ensure timely release and correct flow of production orders.   Work closely with CSR team to help with moving jobs    Update Horse blanket Past due + 4 weeks (need to eventually get out 8 weeks) ​   Responsible for putting jobs on hold , splitting and editing jobs, locating jobs pushing them through the facility.   Updating and distributing c overage f iles to other departments.   Identify critical parts and make sure they are identified on the shop floor ​ .   Going out on the shop floor touching jobs and working with other departments to ensure jobs are moving. ​   Responsible for getting timelines for critical parts.    Identify bottlenecks and issues and bring them up to daily OBEYA.   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES   High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred.  Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency may be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.   Background in manufacturing environmen t preferred .   Interpretation of information furnished orally, written, and/or in diagram form .   Time Management -well organized, possesses the ability to prioritize, maintain focus and follows through to end of projects .   Works effectively independently and in a team environment .   Capable of p ractical p roblem s olving and d ecision m aking using analytical skills .   Use of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.   Effectively presents information, responds to questions in one-on-one and group environments   Proven understanding of process flows, lead-times and lean principles in a manufacturing environment .   Ability to learn each product line’s capabilities and limitations .   Physical Requirements   Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time   Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud   Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection   May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds   WHY CHOOSE SONACA NORTH AMERICA?   We take care of our people.   401(k) retirement savings plan with a percentage company-match contribution   Competitive wages   Paid holidays   Paid time off   Medical, dental, vision, life, and accidental insurance   Short-term disability   Long-term disability   Employee assistance plan — for access to counseling, consulting and other community resources   Wellness program   Tuition assistance   Subject to Eligibility, terms, and conditions   This job description is only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties.
