Join the Academic Section of Internal Medicine and be an integral part of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph Medical Center! Qualifying candidates will have 2 years' experience working as a hospitalist as well as experience teaching medical students and residents post training.  Candidates must be board-certified in internal medicine.  No new graduates considered. Highlights: See patients with medical residents and students in both inpatient and outpatient settings Position involves rotations for inpatient, outpatient and skilled nursing care Participate in teaching lectures and didactics as part of the core curriculum for the IM residency program Provide mentorship to medical students and residents Participate in program evaluation and resident evaluation Position Details: Inpatient 7on/7off 12-hour shifts Shared equal call for all providers On call on average 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff All candidates must be board certified in internal medicine All candidates must have 2 years' experience working inpatient medicine post residency Experience training medical students and residents post residency  Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1.    3-5 years work experience in internal medicine inpatient care 2.    Current State Medical License – MD or DO 3.    Unrestricted Current DEA Registration 4.    Current State Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate of Registration 5.    BLS (AHA or ARC) or ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification required Employment Status Full Time Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
