Plain-language terms. Please read them before relying on the service.
Career Moonshot aggregates publicly available job postings from employers’ own hiring systems and adds match and trust signals. We work hard on accuracy but cannot guarantee that any listing is still open or legitimate — always verify with the employer before applying or sharing personal information.
When an employer publishes a posting date we show it. Many hiring systems do not publish one; in that case we mark the age with an asterisk (*) and count from the day we first saw the listing. A starred age is a first-seen estimate, not the employer’s date, and the role may have been open longer.
A “ghost job” is a posting that is not attached to real, active hiring — left up after a role was filled, kept open to collect résumés, or never meant to be filled. There is no industry definition of the term, and an employer’s intent is not something anyone outside the company can see.
What we do about it. We take listings from employers’ own hiring systems rather than from resellers, we re-scan them for freshness, and we drop a posting once it disappears at the source. That is how we keep ghost jobs out of the results, and we work hard at it.
When we are not sure, we tell you. Some listings carry signals that they may not be actively hired for — most often that they have stayed open unusually long. We mark those instead of leaving them in the results unmarked.
A flag is a caution, not a verdict. Plenty of long-open postings are real. Hard-to-fill roles sit open for months, high-turnover roles reopen constantly, and some employers hire continuously all year. A flagged listing may well be a genuine opening having a hard time.
So the decision stays with you. We tell you what we noticed and why, and you choose whether to apply. We would rather show you a flagged job with our reasoning than quietly hide it, and rather be plain about what we cannot verify than pretend we can.

Optional AI features — including match explanations, full job analysis, cover-letter drafting, application tips, interview prep, résumé review, the ATS scanner, AI search and the match assistant — send the relevant text, which may include your résumé, the job description and the wording of your search, to a third-party AI provider (Google) to generate the answer. What it costs. Premium is $5 per month or $45 per year (about 25% less than paying monthly), in US dollars, shown to you before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Automatic renewal. A Premium subscription renews automatically at the end of each term — monthly plans on the same day each month, annual plans on the same date each year — and is charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. Renewal is at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of renewal; if a price ever changes we will email you first and you can cancel before the new price applies.
How to cancel. Open Menu → Manage Premium on this website. That opens the Stripe billing portal, where cancelling takes one step. You can also contact us and we will cancel it for you. Cancelling stops the next charge and nothing else: your Premium features stay on until the end of the term you have already paid for. The free tier has nothing to cancel.
Refunds. Because you can cancel at any time and keep the time you have already paid for, we do not automatically refund part-used terms. If you were charged in error, or something went wrong, tell us and we will put it right.
Mobile apps. Premium is sold only on this website. Our mobile apps do not sell subscriptions — sign in with the same account and the Premium you bought here works there too.
What Premium never changes. No employer can pay to rank higher, on any tier. Premium adds trust calls and insights and removes ads; it does not change which jobs you see, and it never gates the listings themselves.
