JOB SUMMARY: The Watch Officer reports to the Command Center Operations Lead and is responsible for day-to-day oversight and guidance of more than 125 personnel across 24x7 crew positions and globally dispersed assets. The role oversees operations, maintenance, network monitoring, and network defense activities while ensuring the availability, quality, and security of services supporting mission operations, command and control, and information sharing. The Watch Officer maintains operational awareness, provides leadership reporting, recommends courses of action, and supports mission execution through effective oversight of personnel, processes, and systems. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance for 125+ personnel supporting 24x7 operations and globally dispersed assets. Oversee operations and maintenance activities, network monitoring, and network defense functions. Monitor and report on the health and status of the global enterprise. Make day-to-day operational decisions to ensure the availability, quality, and security of mission-critical services. Ensure the accuracy of operational reports and keep leadership informed of system status and issues. Recommend courses of action to leadership and customer stakeholders. Maintain current awareness of system status at all times. Maintain operations floor integrity and oversee execution of assigned missions. Ensure crew members are appropriately trained, certified, and capable of performing assigned duties. Ensure shifts are properly staffed and conduct thorough shift changeover briefings. Assist the global operations floor in executing operational duties and emerging oversight responsibilities. Direct crews in troubleshooting network issues and supporting cyber-defensive operations. Coordinate closely with the Global Shift Lead and advise on operational actions being taken. Keep leadership informed of requirements necessary to support mission execution. Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Position requires 24x7 shift work. Candidate will be assigned to a rotating 12-hour shift based on mission requirements. Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders on complex issues. Experience in project management, planning, and resource management. Experience leading personnel in the operations and/or maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems and networks. Experience or knowledge of enterprise network, systems, cyber defense capabilities, and management. Ability to communicate technical system and network issues and provide overall system reporting to program management and customer leadership using appropriate tools. Practical experience directing the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and/or Operating Instructions (OIs) to administer, operate, and manage services under operational control. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  Active TS/SCI clearance. Experience liaising with other DoD agencies and associated Missile Defense Systems operations organizations. Experience with U.S. Space Force, USSTRATCOM, or working within the space domain.
