VDC Associate - Revit

We’re seeking leaders who think beyond projects to improve the way we deliver them: individuals who elevate people, process, and performance across the firm.   OVERVIEW Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a VDC Associate to support the delivery of complex mission critical projects across the United States. This role is ideal for a hands-on VDC professional with experience in Revit-based MEP modeling who is ready to take on greater production responsibility while continuing to grow their coordination and project-delivery skills. You’ll work closely with senior VDC team members, contractors, and project stakeholders to actively model electrical systems in Revit and produce coordinated, constructible models and shop drawings that support fabrication and field installation. RESPONSIBILITIES Actively model electrical systems in Autodesk Revit, including conduit, cable tray, electrical equipment, lighting, power, and supporting infrastructure Develop detailed shop drawings and constructible, field-ready models from engineering design drawings Translate engineering design intent into models that support fabrication and field installation Support project coordination and clash resolution using Revit and Navisworks Resolve coordination issues through model revisions and adjustments in Revit Participate in coordination with internal teams, contractors, architects, and design partners Support RFIs and project deliverables while maintaining quality and schedule requirements Work across multiple linked models and disciplines to resolve constructability challenges QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of professional VDC, BIM, or construction modeling experience Hands-on MEP modeling experience in Autodesk Revit Experience producing construction models and shop drawings Experience working within multidisciplinary coordination environments Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering design intent Working knowledge of Navisworks for coordination and clash resolution PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Electrical modeling experience in Revit Contractor-side VDC/BIM experience Mission critical or data center project experience Experience supporting fabrication or prefabrication workflows Autodesk Revit certification COMPENSATION $75,000 - $90,000 + / year Negotiable, depending on location, experience, education, and skills SMC offers a competitive benefits package, with a 36-hour standard work week (1/2 day Fridays), paid time off, hybrid working arrangement, 13 paid holidays, 100% coverage of medical, health, and dental insurance premiums for our full-time employees, and reimbursement of professional licensing costs.
