We’re looking for a motivated Sheet Metal Fabricator (Utility B) 2nd shift to join our team at Adalet‑Cardington, OH. In this role, you’ll help manufacture high‑quality stainless steel electrical enclosures using grinding, finishing, spot welding, stud welding, and other fabrication processes. What You’ll Do Finish stainless steel enclosures and components using belt sanders, grinders, and handheld finishing tools Apply weld studs using capacitor discharge and drawn‑arc welding processes Use resistance welding equipment to attach parts to enclosures Start up and monitor machines to ensure proper operation Inspect materials and finished products for quality and remove defective parts Read and follow drawings, BOMs, routers, and work instructions Perform internal finishing through abrasive blasting or grinding Work from samples and written or verbal instructions Use a variety of hand tools and measuring equipment Report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to supervision Safely move materials and equipment using appropriate tools Participate in Lean/5S and process improvement efforts Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety policies Support and maintain ISO Quality System requirements Collaborate effectively with leads, supervisors, and fellow team members Perform other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For (Desired Attributes) Reliable and consistent attendance Strong focus on safety and PPE use Ability to produce quality work and follow QA processes Steady work pace to meet production deadlines Willingness to share ideas to improve safety and workflow Positive, respectful communication and teamwork Ability to use good judgment and maintain focus on detailed work Can confidently run primary operations with little supervision Preferred Skills Clear reading and writing skills Ability to read job specifications Strong organization skills Comfortable communicating with all levels of the team Basic math and measurement skills General knowledge of machines, tools, and basic maintenance Ability to multi‑task and follow priorities Troubleshooting skills Self‑starter with strong housekeeping and organizational habits Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing or machine‑operation experience is a plus Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Must follow all required safety guidelines and PPE standards Ability to stand and operate machinery for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law .
