Technician - Mechanical Integration | All Shifts All Levels

Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!    This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will support the development, construction, operation and maintenance of liquid rocket engine test facilities for various spaceflight systems. This position will directly influence the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Special Mentions Relocation provided Travel expected up to 15% of the time Shifts available: B Rotation Interviews will include a technical assessment 2 positions available Van Horn Specific information Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee’s additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Test facility construction, operation, and maintenance: Fabrication and routing of pressurization and propellant tubing Test article integration and checkout General troubleshooting of fluid components and fluid systems General maintenance of mechanical components and systems Propellant offloading Reviewing, editing, and following test procedures and processes Operation of test facility and ground support equipment Working with engineers on design concepts and facility improvements Planning and executing assembly for complex mechanical systems Safely working with hazardous chemicals and high pressure systems Identify opportunities for continuous improvements to promote workplace safety Minimum Qualifications 3+ years in rocket engine or jet engine testing, or rocket engine test facility support Ability to work with test and flight safety critical hardware Ability to work with standard mechanical tools and shop fabrication equipment Experience with pneumatic and propellant systems Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics Ability to lift 40 lbs.; work in adverse weather conditions; climb stairs and ladders Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications 7+ years’ experience in propulsion facility/system or launch vehicle operation, integration or maintenance Working knowledge of a variety of rocket propellants, including Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Hydrogen, and other cryogenics Familiar with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc.) and pressurized system safety Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware Culture Statement Don’t meet all desired requirements?
