We have over 200 Financial Advisors, supported by 150 team members servicing over 40,000 clients nationwide.

As part of our support for our advisors and clients we provide tax preparation, guidance and consulting. Due to growth and demand we are expanding this support. We are interested in individuals with background and education in this area. Individuals must have a strong service orientation, sense of urgency and a desire for personal growth.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tax Manager manages a book of approximately 200-225 clients, handling tax planning, preparation, and final review. This role includes acting as the final reviewer and signing tax returns, managing complex tax strategies, and mentoring team members while building strong client relationships. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment. We use a suite of CCH products for our tax preparation software, and Canopy as our practice management tool.
A more sustainable approach to tax season: Our established client base consists largely of timely filers, with approximately 85% of returns completed during the spring filing season—allowing our team to spend more of the year focused on planning, client relationships and professional growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage an established book of approximately 200–225 tax clients
Prepare and review individual and/or business tax returns
Provide proactive year-round tax planning and strategy
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients
Partner with financial advisors on tax-related planning opportunities
Review and sign returns, as applicable to the position
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other tax team members
Identify opportunities to improve processes and client experience
Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses /certifications or other knowledge, skills and abilities.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of progressive tax preparation and planning experience
CPA or EA designation
Strong knowledge of individual taxation and applicable business/entity returns
Experience reviewing returns and handling more complex tax situations
Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to clients
Strong relationship-building and client-service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities during tax season
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
Nice to Have
Previous leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience
Experience with CCH tax software
Experience with Canopy
Experience working with financial advisors, wealth management firms or high-net-worth clients
