Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):   Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper sterilization of instruments Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and post-procedure Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation (draping) Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OR team members to ensure efficient workflow Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014. Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with at least 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred). Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in major surgical specialties (i.e., GYN, General, and Plastics) is preferred. Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., Ortho, Neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.) preferred.
