Structural Engineering Intern - Buildings

Overview Kimley-Horn's  St. Paul, MN  office is seeking engineering students to join our growing  Building Structures  team. If you are a collaborative and creative student who enjoys working on a variety of building projects and client types this is the position for you. As an intern with Kimley-Horn, you will benefit from hands-on experience, technical and consulting training, mentorship opportunities, and developmental programs geared towards growing Kimley-Horn’s next generation of leaders. With support from your team, you will work on projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, ideal for engineers eager to grow their technical and creative skills. Responsibilities Develop skills as a project engineer by assisting with the delivery, design, and detailing of a wide range of projects while working with more senior staff and BIM designer staff who will coach, guide, and support your growth Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages while working with a larger design team Conduct site visits when needed Qualifications In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in one of the following majors: Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet deadlines Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff development and ability to grow through feedback Rate: $28-$29 Hourly Why Kimley-Horn?
