Sr Molding Technician - 3rd Shift (Tues - Sat)

What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment. Shift Details 11:00 pm to 7:00 am - Tuesday to Saturday Responsibilities Process injection molding machines to run mold processes within validated parameters. Troubleshoot injection molding processes using scientific molding techniques. Setup the production floor and monitor kanban/shop order levels. Assist engineering with molding validations following the company procedures and using scientific molding techniques. Attend tier meetings and effectively communicate floor needs to the management team in order to make production goals and drive continuous improvement. Process injection molding machines to run mold processes within validated parameters. Set molds in machines when needed safely using a hoist and the proper clamping method. Assist in root cause investigations for any quality defect issues on the floor. Qualifications 2+ years of experience with injection molding processes with polypropylene and polyethylene resins preferred High School Diploma or GED preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments Adheres to all quality guidelines Works with limited supervision Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members Anticipated hourly range : $24.75 - $34.65 per hour (includes shift differential) Bonus eligible : No Benefits : Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
