This position is based in the Detroit, MI area , supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a motivated Floor Supervisor to provide daily leadership to warehouse employees while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are consistently met. What You'll Be Responsible For: Supervise daily warehouse operations and provide direction to hourly employees Lead and support pick and pack, sequencing, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities Ensure customer requirements and production schedules are achieved safely and efficiently Monitor productivity, quality, attendance, and overall employee performance Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing operational expectations Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with company and customer standards Assist with staffing, scheduling, and labor planning to support business demands Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and inventory control activities Identify operational issues, develop corrective actions, and escalate concerns when necessary Maintain a strong floor presence and support employees throughout the shift Communicate effectively with management, customers, and support departments Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction Complete daily reports and operational documentation as required What We're Looking For: 2+ years of leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations Previous experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of warehouse operations, material flow, inventory control, and productivity metrics Experience in automotive or high-volume operations preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to coach employees, drive accountability, and build effective teams Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems preferred Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Valid driver's license required
