About the Team and Role The Product Platform & Infrastructure team builds the platforms that power the LinkedIn app, LinkedIn.com, and all product feature development for 1 billion+ professionals globally. The team is reimagining how our products are built for performance, reliability, and delight while building agentic workflows for end-to-end product development. One of the major platforms the team builds is LinkedIn’s server-driven UI (SDUI) platform, which enables product teams to build and deliver experiences across Web, iOS, and Android through a shared development model. We build the frameworks, components, APIs, tools, and AI orchestration that connect product ideas to the experiences our members and customers use every day. Our success depends on how effectively product teams can create high-quality experiences on the platform to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce. We are looking for an engineering leader to drive the platform’s technical vision, strategy, adoption, and execution. You should understand the product stack from UI components, interaction patterns, and client rendering to frontend APIs and backend services – and care deeply about the people building and using our products. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design leaders to evolve our SDUI platform, complete platform migrations, and make it easier for teams to build great experiences independently. You will build industry-leading agentic development capabilities to enable anyone to go from idea to a product deployed to 1 billion+ member scale with unprecedented speed and stability. Roles and Responsibilities Own the vision, technical strategy, and execution of LinkedIn’s SDUI platform for building product experiences across Web, iOS, and Android. Manage a customer-first platform organization that understands product teams’ needs, works closely with them, and takes responsibility for removing friction. Partner with product and design leaders to translate experience requirements into reusable platform capabilities, balancing consistency with flexibility for different products. Drive SDUI adoption and migration across LinkedIn, with clear ownership, milestones, quality standards, and retirement plans for legacy systems. Improve the full experience of building on the platform, from learning it and creating UI to testing, debugging, experimenting, releasing, and operating products. Guide architectural decisions across UI frameworks, component systems, client rendering, frontend APIs, and backend integration. Hold a high bar for the quality of experiences the platform enables, including responsiveness, accessibility, reliability, and appropriate behavior on each client platform. Measure success through product team adoption and satisfaction, development speed, and the quality and performance of shipped experiences. Lead and develop engineering managers and technical leaders, building an organization with strong technical judgment, product understanding, and accountability. Make the SDUI platform AI-ready through clear component contracts, machine-readable schemas, accessible documentation, and automated validation, enabling AI tools and agents to generate and modify experiences that meet our standards for design, accessibility, performance, and reliability. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years of engineering people management. Experience managing engineering managers and leading multiple engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience managing managers and leading organizations of 50+ people. Experience building and leading shared platforms or frameworks used by product engineers to create user-facing applications. Experience working directly with product management and design teams to deliver platform capabilities that support product experiences. Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple teams and organizational boundaries. Deep technical experience with UI platforms, application frameworks, server-driven UI, or cross-platform product development. Strong understanding of the end-to-end product stack, including UI composition, state management, rendering, client-server interactions, frontend APIs, and backend services. Experience building platforms that support rich, responsive experiences across Web, iOS, and Android. Demonstrated customer-first judgment: seeking direct feedback from product teams, understanding their constraints, and changing platform priorities based on their needs. Experience partnering with design organizations on reusable components, interaction patterns, accessibility, and design-system integration.
