Software Engineer Level 2

Description Markon is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer in the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML-driven systems within a cloud-based infrastructure. This position focuses on building high-performance, scalable applications and enabling automation through infrastructure as code. The role involves working with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and large-scale data processing systems to deliver mission-critical capabilities. Responsibilities Develop and integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing and new software systems Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, including GPU-enabled solutions Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform in AWS environments Develop and optimize backend services using C++, Python, and/or Go Support and enhance large-scale streaming data analytics platforms Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy robust software solutions Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues Qualifications Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 14+ years of software engineering experience Experience with AI/ML development or integration Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS cloud environments Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Go Experience developing high-performance and/or GPU-enabled applications Experience working with large-scale streaming data analytics systems Salary Range USD $210,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
