Software Engineer/Developer, Staff Principal

Overview AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities Work with DoD Civilians, USN Fleet Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Industry and other contractors in the planning and execution of trainer development using simulation technologies. Maintain expert level understanding of generating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) & Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) imagery using the Boeing Multi-Mode Radar Simulation (MMRS) in conjunction with Aechelon Image Generators (IG). Ensure geospatial raster and vector data are properly handled by a map server to accurately display geospatial visuals and behavior to system operators. Performs analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of RADAR simulation applications to support customer training efforts. Support integration effort to identify and resolve performance issues, enhancements, and defect resolution for all aspects of the simulation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 13+ years of related work experience US Citizenship & a minimum of a current TOP SECRET clearance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expert level experience in at least three of the following: Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) & Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR), Boeing Multi-Mode Radar Simulation (MMRS),  Aechelon Image Generators (IG) Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
