Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet. Albemarle is hiring for a Site Project Engineer in Pasadena, Texas. This position will be on-site. What you will do Lead capital projects from concept development through commissioning, serving as the single point of accountability for project delivery Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with engineering, operations, and site leadership Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including cost estimates, schedules, risk mitigation strategies, and resource planning Manage project performance to meet or exceed safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment across engineering, operations, and leadership Oversee engineering design, contractor performance, and EPC activities to ensure high-quality execution Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal project controls while promoting continuous improvement and constructability best practices What you bring Required: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience leading capital projects in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence diverse stakeholders Strong knowledge of project controls, including cost forecasting, scheduling, and risk management Working knowledge of process safety management (PSM), management of change (MOC), and relevant regulatory requirements It’d be great if you also have: Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments Background in front-end loading (FEL) and stage-gate project development processes Experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors Familiarity with SAP Project Systems (PS) or similar project management tools Ability to develop, evaluate, and communicate project business cases Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex project environments Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence Benefits of joining Albemarle Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
