A Brief Summary of This Position Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the　Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position in the Coatings Division.　We are looking for a　highly　driven individual that will Lead, Train, and Coordinate the daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving Team Members and the Production Scheduler. Essential Functions Directly supervise the Shipping and Receiving Department. Coordinate receiving and shipping needs with production schedules to meet the requirements of customers Handle yard storage and inventories of customer materials Monitor and audit incoming and outgoing shipping activities of customer material Review and validate shipping instructions and schedules Work directly with the Production Scheduler to create and revise schedules and priorities Complete root cause investigations of damages or shortages in customer loads Coordinate Shipping and Receiving functions and communicate with Equipment Operators, Production Supervisors, Crew Leads, Customer Service Rep and Scheduler Be actively engaged in Safety Meetings, Training and Mentoring Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Three years of previous Supervisory Experience Minimum 1-2 years of Lean training Ability to pay attention to detail Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and side loader equipment. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment Must have a high awareness for safety at all times Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results Highly qualified candidates will also possess: Three years Shipping and Receiving or Distribution position Ability to communicate and interact with co-workers in a positive manner Solid decision making and problem solving skills Ability of manage multiple projects Knowledge of Visual Shop Three or more years of Lean Benefits Valmont offers employees and their families a comprehensive Total Wellbeing benefit package to ensure their individual and family’s overall wellness needs are met.
