Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States Job ID: R0126630 Date Posted: 2026-04-15 Company Name: HITACHI ENERGY USA INC Profession (Job Category): Project/Program Management Job Schedule:  Full time Remote: No Job Description: The Opportunity Hitachi Energy is seeking a Service Project Manager to support customers and drive the successful execution of service-related projects within the Grid Automation business. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, coordinating with global execution teams, field personnel, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and project-related challenges. You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring commitments are delivered safely, on time, and in alignment with contractual requirements. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex power system projects, manage remote teams and specialized engineering resources, and contribute to the reliability and modernization of the electric grid. Success in this role requires a combination of project management expertise, customer engagement, issue resolution, risk management, and collaboration across a broad network of internal and external partners. How You'll Make an Impact Serve as the primary customer contact for service and project-related needs throughout project execution. Take ownership of customer issues and coordinate resolution with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders. Partner with Global Execution Centers to address site and operational challenges efficiently. Manage multiple service and project activities simultaneously while following established project execution processes. Coordinate and support remote work crews and specialized engineering resources to ensure successful delivery. Monitor project schedules, costs, cash flow, risks, and key milestones to achieve project commitments. Communicate project status, progress, risks, and potential issues to customers and stakeholders with appropriate detail. Support scope management, change management, and commercial opportunities while maintaining positive customer relationships. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management, Field Service, Project Engineering, or Customer Support. Knowledge of project management practices, including critical path planning, risk identification, and risk mitigation. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Proven accomplishments in critical thinking and issue resolution. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups. Experience managing project costs, schedules, and customer expectations in a service or project environment. Self-motivated approach with the ability to proactively resolve issues and guide project teams to successful outcomes.
