Senior Staff Accountant

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the resort's financial reporting while supporting daily accounting operations across multiple revenue-generating departments. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting through account reconciliations, month-end close activities, journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and financial reporting. This position partners closely with operational departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Revenue Management to maintain strong financial controls and support business decisions. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts. Analyze financial statements and investigate account variances. Assist with monthly financial packages, budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records. Reconcile credit card settlements and cash activity. Review income audit reports and resolve discrepancies. Support accounting for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Spa, Golf, Retail, and Recreation. Assist with sales tax reporting and internal controls. Cross-train with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Hospitality or resort accounting experience preferred Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
