Senior Software Engineer, Graviton Software

The AWS Graviton Software team is looking for Sr Software Development Engineers to optimize performance for Graviton processors. Graviton delivers the best price/performance in AWS data centers. For the past 3 years more than half of the new AWS EC2 capacity is Graviton based and it is used by over 98% of our 1000 largest customers. You'll drive performance optimization across open-source projects, internal services, and customer applications, working on everything from Linux kernel development to C++ and Rust code debugging and optimization. Our team works on a diverse range of applications including databases, web services, compilers, video encoding, ML, and HPC workloads. Hardware related knowledge is useful, but not required. Key job responsibilities - Performance Analysis and Optimization: root cause and enhance software architectures, algorithms - Optimize software performance for AWS customers and AWS services: S3, Lambda, EMR, ElastiCache, RDS, and others - Open Source Development: contribute to Linux kernel improvements and other public projects - Develop analysis frameworks and automation systems
