Summary of Job Duties: The Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (OEI) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as Senior Program Manager of Student Entrepreneurship Program. This position leads a year-round portfolio of programs and competitions designed to help University of Arkansas students explore entrepreneurship, develop their ideas, and build businesses.
The Senior Program Manager oversees student entrepreneurship programs, manages internal and external competition opportunities, and provides ongoing support to student founders. The position serves as a primary point of contact for students interested in entrepreneurship, meeting individually with students to understand their needs, connect them with appropriate programs and resources, and provide continued guidance as their businesses develop.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, business, entrepreneurship or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
Experience managing programs, projects, or events
Experience supervising students, hourly employees and/or professional staff
Experience with program operations, budgets, data management, and stakeholder engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, business, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least three years of experience in program management, program operations, entrepreneurship, student programming, or a related area.
Familiarity with startup ecosystems, founders, or entrepreneurship education
Experience planning and executing high-visibility events or student programs
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Strong problem-solving and program development skills
Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Airtable, and other collaboration tools
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
