About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist within WIM Operations. The Fees, Commissions, & Specialty Assets team plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence, risk management, and quality assurance activities that help ensure accurate and timely compensation for Financial Advisors. In this role, you will collaborate with internal business partners, external annuity carriers, mutual fund companies, and fund administrators to research and resolve commission-related inquiries. You will leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, mitigate risk, and drive timely resolution to operational issues. The position offers broad exposure to investment products, advisor compensation processes, and cross-functional partnerships while maintaining a strong focus on controls, accuracy, client services, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will: Participate in low to moderately complex lifecycle support initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities Operations Review and analyze basic or tactical functional operational tasks or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives; exercise independent judgment related to low-to-medium risk deliverables Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations related to a full process within a trade environment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Provide information to, collaborate, and consult with peers, colleagues and managers, including internal and external customers, to resolve issues and achieve goals Develop expertise in the following operational processes including client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, and general ledger reconciliation Resolve low to moderately complex escalated issues within the scope of responsibility in Security Operations Research low to moderately complex business risks, provide input into policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time sensitive documents and transaction requests Exercise independent judgment in understanding trade settlement workflow controls to minimalize the effects of operational breakdowns Support overall effectiveness of the team according to plans; monitor daily securities and cash related production work Contribute and may lead implementation of projects, new or revised processes, and procedures that require coordination among operation teams and perform analysis for initiatives that support business strategies making decisions on matters with financial impact and risk Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement, operational excellence, innovation, and transformation Experience utilizing AI tools, automation platforms, or workflow technologies to improve efficiency and productivity Ability to identify inefficiencies and develop creative, technology-enabled solutions Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to adopt new technologies and ways of working Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ownership mindset Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience with tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Power BI, Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies Job Expectations: This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship This position offers a hybrid work schedule Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening Posting Location: 550 South 4th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55415 Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
