Seasonal Senior Coordinator, Studio Technical Operations

The  Senior Coordinator,  Operations provides hands-on technical and operational support to the Director of Production Operations, keeping control room, stage, and studio environments production-ready  at all times . The role performs pre-production checks and first-line troubleshooting of router and comms panels, cameras, IFB and mic belt packs, stage lighting, replay, graphics, and audio systems, escalating unresolved faults to Engineering with documented detail. In partnership with Production Management, Scheduling, and Facilities, the Coordinator also confirms daily crew and resource readiness and manages equipment  logistics , shipping, and staging for studio, remote, and tentpole productions. Administratively, the role  maintains  asset records, procurement and purchase order tracking, SOPs, and incident logs that support uninterrupted production.   Responsibilities Provide first-line troubleshooting and technical support for control room and stage equipment, including router panels, comms panels, cameras, IFB and mic belt packs, stage lighting, EVS systems, Vizrt graphics systems, and associated audio equipment. Perform pre-production technical checks of control room and stage systems, including signal routing, intercom and IFB functionality, camera and lighting readiness, belt pack frequencies and batteries, and audio levels. Assist with setup, strike, and reconfiguration of studio, control room, and stage equipment, including cable management, panel configuration, and equipment swaps. Partner with Engineering and Operations to monitor production and studio spaces and escalate unresolved technical faults, documenting symptoms, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolution to support recurring-issue tracking and preventive maintenance. Coordinate with Production Management to ensure studio spaces, production resources, and operational dependencies are ready before scheduled productions. Work with Scheduling to verify daily crew assignments, confirm personnel arrival and check-in, and promptly escalate staffing gaps or call-outs. Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, receiving, inspection, equipment staging, transport, and organized storage for studio, remote, and tentpole productions. Work with the IT Asset Management team to maintain equipment lifecycle and asset records in Oracle and ServiceNow, including serial numbers, locations, condition, warranties, inventory audits, check-in/check-out, and disposition. Coordinate procurement activities, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders, vendor onboarding, contract intake documentation, and routine studio and engineering supply orders. Maintain a centralized PO Tracker documenting approval status, delivery timelines, budget classification, SLA tracking, and invoice reconciliation. Maintain SOPs, incident logs, workflow guides, facility reference materials, and operational status reports for the Director of Production Operations.   Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in operations coordination, procurement, or asset management within a broadcast, media, or technical production environment. Working knowledge of broadcast control room and stage systems, including router and comms panels, cameras, IFB and wireless mic belt packs, stage lighting, replay and graphics systems, and associated audio equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform pre-production technical checks, isolate and troubleshoot equipment faults under live production conditions, and escalate unresolved issues to Engineering with clear, documented detail. Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams, with experience building and maintaining trackers, logs, and operational records. Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced production setting. Preferred Qualifications   Prior experience in a broadcast facility, live event, or technical operations environment. Hands-on experience with broadcast engineering equipment such as Evertz or Grass Valley routing, RTS or Clear-Com intercom and IFB systems, studio camera systems, EVS replay, Vizrt graphics, and digital audio consoles. Experience with production management tools such as Media Pulse. Experience using Oracle and ServiceNow for purchase orders, asset records, and ticket-based workflows. Experience coordinating shipping, receiving, and equipment logistics for remote or tentpole productions. Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, and Power Automate for request intake, tracking, and document management.   Other Key Attributes / Characteristics Composure and decisiveness under live production conditions, where equipment issues must be diagnosed and resolved quickly. Strong written and verbal communication, time management, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.   Physical Demands   Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs and to support equipment setup, strike, and staging.   Terms / Expected Hours of Work Full-time, non-exempt position requiring 40 hours per week. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on production needs.
