About the Opportunity Are you an experienced SAP Finance professional passionate about delivering large-scale transformation programs? We are seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA Finance (FINS) Functional Consultant to join our growing SAP practice. In this role, you will help leading organizations across New Zealand and the wider APAC region modernize their finance functions, improve operational performance, and maximize the value of their SAP investments. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with some of New Zealand's top SAP specialists while delivering impactful solutions for enterprise clients across various industries. The Role As an SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, from solution design and configuration through implementation, testing, and business adoption. You will work closely with finance leaders, business stakeholders, solution architects, and project teams to design future-state finance processes and deliver scalable SAP solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead client workshops to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements. Design and configure SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions aligned with business objectives. Deliver finance transformation initiatives across Financial Accounting (FI) and Management Accounting (CO) processes. Support solution design, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and go-live activities. Drive finance process standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with architects, developers, and cross-functional project teams. Provide trusted advisory services to CFOs, finance leaders, and key stakeholders. Manage project workstreams and mentor junior consultants. Contribute to proposals, solution design workshops, and business development initiatives. Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 6 years of SAP Finance consulting experience. Proven experience delivering SAP implementation, transformation, or upgrade programs. Strong SAP S/4HANA Finance configuration expertise. Deep understanding of finance business processes, controls, and reporting. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills. Experience working within consulting firms, professional services, or large enterprise environments. General Ledger (GL) configuration, master data, and processing. Record-to-Report (R2R), including legal, management, and group reporting. Management Accounting/Controlling experience in: Profit Center Accounting Cost Center Accounting Project Systems Experience with intercompany processes, including Tax, Intercompany Billing, and Trading Partner setup. Knowledge of Product Costing, Split Valuation, and Moving Average Price (MAP). Experience with Rebate Processing and Settlement Management (AR/AP). SAP Finance integration with: Transport Management Sales & Distribution Procurement & Purchasing Inventory & Supply Chain BRF+ maintenance and configuration. Functional specification development using BAdIs, CDS Views, and enhancements.
