The work The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and unit-testing SAP RICEFW deliverables across a complex enterprise environment. This includes building custom reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, forms, workflows, and advanced development artifacts such as CDS views, OData services, and RAP‑based applications. The role requires thorough attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and the ability to translate functional requirements into robust, scalable solutions. Developers in this position support the full development lifecycle: coding, unit testing, delivering technical documentation, preparing transport materials, resolving defects, and contributing to test phases such as SIT and UAT. They will also participate in cutover smoke testing, production issue triage, and knowledge transfer activities to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of support. This role demands strong ABAP OO skills, deep experience with modern SAP development practices, and the ability to work effectively with teams across functional and technical domains. Knowledge of SAP IS‑U tables and processes, debugging techniques, performance optimization, and integration/conversion support are crucial for success. Key responsibilities: Build and enhance RICEFW objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows Develop CDS views, OData services, and RAP artifacts following modern SAP development standards Conduct unit testing and deliver complete evidence packages Create and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and transport notes Debug issues and optimize performance across custom developments Support SIT/UAT testing cycles with timely defect resolution Participate in cutover smoke testing and assist in production triage Provide knowledge transfer and support materials for ongoing operations Here’s what you need: 4+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ABAP and ABAP OO Practical experience in CDS/OData/RAP development Solid understanding of SAP IS‑U processes, tables, and integration touchpoints Ability to debug complex issues and optimize custom code performance Experience supporting conversions, integrations, and cross-system development work Nice to have: SAP ABAP or SAP development certification Experience with SAP forms technologies (SmartForms, Adobe Forms) Eligibility requirements: U.S. Citizen (dual accepted) Must be eligible to obtain government clearance As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
