In this leadership-focused clinical role, you will partner with the Director and Manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Operating Room. Acting as a clinical resource and mentor for team members, you will support best practices, coordinate specialty-specific initiatives, and maintain a high standard of surgical care. The Clinical Coordinator must be able to perform all clinical responsibilities of an Operating Room Registered Nurse while serving as a subject matter expert within their assigned specialty. Responsibilities Coordinate and organize daily workflow within the assigned specialty to maximize productivity while maintaining high standards of quality, patient safety, and customer satisfaction. Serve as the specialty resource and subject matter expert, providing guidance, technical expertise, and support to nursing and surgical team members. Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of performance improvement initiatives using PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes. Monitor compliance with departmental policies, procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, taking corrective action when needed. Assist with accreditation and regulatory readiness activities and support ongoing compliance monitoring within the department. Coordinate orientation and training programs for new team members, students, and existing staff, ensuring all required competencies and training checklists are completed. Oversee annual mandatory education requirements and competency assessments, ensuring completion and proper documentation. Collaborate with leadership to evaluate team member performance by providing feedback, identifying coaching opportunities, and supporting counseling or corrective action processes when appropriate. Assist leadership with the completion of initial and annual performance evaluations. Partner with department leadership to develop and deliver specialty-focused education programs, quality initiatives, safety programs, and performance improvement projects. Maintain expertise in specialty-specific procedures, equipment, supplies, and best practices while actively sharing knowledge with colleagues. Participate in the recruitment and interview process by evaluating candidates and providing feedback to hiring leaders. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous learning, and clinical excellence within the Operating Room. Support the operational success of the specialty by ensuring accurate procedure scheduling, preference card maintenance, equipment readiness, and supply availability. Qualifications Minimum two years OR experience. Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public. Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience. Demonstration of creativity, initiative and problem solving. Credentials RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Saving certification Education RN, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing  Entry USD $39.88/Hr. Max USD $65.80/Hr.
