Job Posting Title: RN (Physical Medicine & Rehab) Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 0800am-4:30pm Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Manage, delegate, and coordinate quality nursing care Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team Demonstrate accountability for professional practice by participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, maintaining licensure and certifications, and completing mandatory education in a timely manner   Deliver family centered, child-focused patient care according to the nursing process Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practice to provide patient care Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator Participate in at least one departmental and/or hospital wide committee or task force Follows all departmental and hospitalwide policies Demonstrate the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values Required Skills/Abilities Associate degree (ADN) in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners 2 years RN experience required Pediatric experience preferred American Heart Association BLS PALS certification, or obtained within 6 months of hire Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC experience preferred Working Environment Working Conditions: Inside Working Position: Sitting, Standing, and Walking Physical Demands: Light Physical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying, Pushing/Pulling and Repetitive Movements Lifting or carrying between 35 - 50 lbs. Sensory/Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position: Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, Feeling, and Speaking This position will be exposed to Inside Environments, Bloodborne Pathogens and Respiratory Hazards
