Job Title Research Technician I Agency Texas A&M University Department Educational Psychology Proposed Minimum Salary $15.00 hourly Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Temporary/Casual Staff (Fixed Term) Job Description What We Want We are seeking a Research Technician I to perform entry level, semi-skilled, technical support research work involving performance of routine tasks. What You Need to Know Position Details: May have to work on the weekend and/or after normal hours. May travel as required. Ability to travel to Providence, Rhode Island to assist with data collection is preferred. Salary: $15.00/hourly. You may upload them on the application under the CV/Resume section.   Essential Duties/Tasks Research Procedures: Assists with the participant (subject) pool by recruiting, screening, and maintaining records on research participants. Assists in data collection and consults in developing procedures. Contributes to development of data management procedures and enters data. Research Conceptualization: Assists in literature review/background justification of research projects Research Dissemination: Provides support for senior staff in data analysis and data reports. Assists in dissemination of research materials for practitioner and academic audiences Assists undergraduate and graduate students with their research projects. Training: Participates in training and professional development sessions as needed. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Two years of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Licenses and Certifications:  None Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in or with youth-serving organizations, especially sport-based youth development programs Knowledge about or experience with program evaluation Experience working directly with youth, especially middle school-aged youth Experience working with varying populations, especially low-income, ethnic minority families  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
