Job Title Research Technician I Agency Texas A&M University Department Department Of Statistics Proposed Minimum Salary $20.00 hourly Job Location College Station, Texas Job Type Temporary/Casual Staff (Fixed Term) Job Description Here’s a Glimpse of the Job The Research Technician I will provide computational and statistical support for a research project involving super resolution spatial transcriptomics and cellular imaging. Under the supervision of the faculty member, the Research Technician I will prepare research data, implement and evaluate statistical methods, conduct simulation studies, create visualizations, maintain reproducible code, and assist with research reports and manuscripts. Opportunities to Contribute: Prepare, organize and quality-check spatial transcriptomics, imaging, and cell-segmentation data. Conduct simulation studies and sensitivity analyses to assess model performance and robustness. Prepare figures, tables, technical summaries, and research documentation. Participate in research meetings and communicate progress to the principal investigator. Implement and evaluate statistical models for subcellular RNA localization and segmentation error. Develop and maintain reproducible Python code and data-analysis workflows. Review relevant literature, and assist with reports, presentations and manuscripts. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of relevant experience.   A well-qualified candidate may also possess: BS in Statistics or applied mathematics. Experience in analyzing xenium/merfish/cosmc/seqfish+ data. Experience in analyzing super resolution (subcellular level) spatial transcriptomics data, hierarchical statistical modeling, python/R.
