It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence. Description of Work This position serves a support two counselor with combined caseloads of 170 consumers. This position also services as front office receptionist for telephone and walk-in visitors and provides clerical support to the Unit Manager and Lead Office Assistant as requested. Job responsibilities include the following: * Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic data to assist counselor with determining eligibility and required rehabilitation/independent living services. * Assist with develop a written plan of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian; inputting casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process. * Preparing documents including authorizations and correspondences as needed; and completing all related administrative tasks in tandem with the processing assistant * Monitor the consumer's progress throughout the service delivery process * Work directly with community partners in order to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming suitably employed * Document service delivery and case progress in the case management system as required by agency policy Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $39,244- $68,679 Recruitment Range: $39,244 - $ 50,060 Experience engaging with individuals from under served, marginalized, or disability communities, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, empathy, and awareness of access and inclusion barriers. Proficiency in performing routine administrative and office support functions, such as data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and filing, with accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to provide effective front-line service to the public, including responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining professionalism in diverse and fast-paced environments.
