Description of Work This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is part of the Salisbury VR Unit and is located in the Statesville satellite location. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and casework assistance to Rehabilitation Counselors providing transition services to young adults and students with disabilities referred primarily from Iredell-Statesville Schools, transitioning from school to work. This position will provide back-up support to Rehabilitation Counselors serving individuals referred from other sources. Job responsibilities include the following: Interviewing clients and gathering diagnostic reports to assist counselors with determining eligibility and required services. Assisting with developing written plans of services in conjunction with the client, parent and/ or guardian. Documenting casework data and the provision of substantial services throughout the rehabilitation process in the case management system Assisting in monitoring the client's progress throughout the service delivery process. Processing invoices and billing documents, scheduling appointments, filing, inputting casework data, and completing correspondence to support client services. Working with community employers/partners to assist in directly placing highly qualified clients in appropriate employment leading to successful employment outcomes Providing other support as designated by the Rehabilitation Counselors and completing all related administrative tasks. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $39,244 -$68,679 Recruitment Range: $39,244.00-$49,000 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred. Knowledge of and/or experience working with people with disabilities Knowledge of and/or experience utilizing electronic case management systems. Flexibility and experience organizing multiple priority assignments in a fast paced setting. Experience working with the public in a professional manner and in team settings.
