Registered Nurse (RN) - HeartLife, Cardiac\Pulmonary Rehab, PRN, Day

Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary Responsible for implementing the exercise regimen and education of cardiac patients. Organizes and teaches educational classes to enhance risk factor modification. Supervises exercise therapy and insures that sound principles of cardiovascular exercise training are in operation. Assists other HeartLife Team members in managing patient care and services. Scheduled Weekly Hours PRN Requirement - 24 hours over 6-week period/schedule  Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose:  Inspire health.  Serve with compassion.  Be the difference. Coordinates patient's individualized clinical plan of care.  Monitors patients for disproportionate responses to clinical course, including medications, exercise training, and nutrition.  Performs exercises with patients, demonstrating correct knowledge of exercise principles.  Provides care to patients who develop cardiac problems during activity.  Works with Heart Life Team members to coordinate interdisciplinary care. Manages all clinical equipment used in patient care.  Contacts patients via telephone when absent or after discharge to provide education. Coordinates clinical outcomes for all patients. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - Associate degree in Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Experience - One (1) year work experience. Three (3) years of work experience preferred. In Lieu Of NA Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Holds a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working.
