Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery, (24 hours per week, Day/Night)

Position:  Registered Nurse Location:  Labor & Delivery Schedule:  24 Hours (Day/Night, Every Third Weekend / Holiday Rotation) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients   Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families  Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues  Update and manage patient records  Enter and interpret computerized data/information  Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS  Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects JOB REQUIREMENTS : Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years Certification in basic life support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life support  ( ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire.  Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire. 2 years registered nurse experience Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred Experience with electronic health record preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills  Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.   Fluency in another language a plus.  JOB BENEFITS: Competitive pay  Staff self-scheduling  Weekend/Night shift differentials  Highly subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance options  Supportive work environment with a focus on training, professional development, and growth  Compensation Range: $39.80- $93.69 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
