Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Full-Time 7:30a - 4p The position includes after-hours on-call responsibilities and a rotating weekend schedule. Employees must also be able to remain within 30 minutes of the hospital while on-call. The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. Planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patient with an outcome focused approach from the initial assessment of patient, routine on-going assessment, implemented interventions as indicated, until and through the discharge of the patient, involving the patient, family, provider, and other members of the care team. Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care. Follows the professional standards of care. Applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking, experiential evidence, and evidence-based practices. Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients. Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital. Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution. Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred upon hire and required within 6 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.  Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Recent experience in specialty or Critical Care preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
