Position Overview Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician. Key Responsibilities Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues. Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record. Requirements Valid New York State RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with an EMR (preferred) Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs At least 1 year of experience in an oncology outpatient center or at least 1 year of experience in administering medications preferred. At least 1 year of patient care experience REQUIRED Pay Range USD $52.00 - USD $52.00 /Hr.
