As our Regional HR Generalist, you will be the go-to HR partner for your assigned West Coast areas - guiding leaders through employee relations, performance, leave, and workforce changes, and making sure every manager has the training and confidence to lead their team the right way. You can run a fair, thorough investigation and explain the outcome in plain language You know California employment law is its own world - and you enjoy staying on top of it You would rather coach a manager through a tough conversation than have it land on your desk later You are calm, discreet, and like seeing the operation up close What You'll Do Employee & Labor Relations Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough, objective investigations Advise regional leaders on employee relations and build strong partnerships that strengthen people-management practices and policy implementation Support management with labor relations grievances and collective bargaining agreement questions Performance & Workforce Changes Advise on progressive discipline, Performance Improvement Plans, and counseling notices, and recommend the right actions Provide advisory, administrative, and coaching support through workforce adjustments and terminations Support promotions, relocations, and restructuring activities Leave of Absence Manage leave cases across federal, state, local, client, and union policies, and answer associate leave questions Compliance & Policy Interpret company policy and maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law to reduce legal risk Partner with the HR Compliance Manager and Legal on regional audits, compliance, reporting, and technical projects Support pre-employment and onboarding compliance items and federal, state, and local audits HR Operations & Support Answer associate questions on onboarding, policy, progressive discipline, leave, and workplace conflict, and connect them to Corporate HR and other support teams Provide HRIS support for Manager and Employee Self-Service, including data entry Process verbal and written employment verifications and maintain electronic personnel files Manager Training Identify training needs and ensure managers are trained on employee and labor relations, compliance and policy, performance management, terminations and workforce adjustments, and leave What You Bring Three or more years of HR generalist experience, including employee relations investigations Real fluency in California employment law - CFRA, FEHA, wage and hour, and leave - plus federal FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII Experience supporting multi-site teams, with comfort in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office A coaching mindset, sound judgment, and discretion with confidential matters Willingness to travel to assigned West Coast sites as business needs require Union experience, PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, and hospitality, healthcare, or service industry experience are strong pluses Why Propark?
