Recycling Technician, Forklift Exp Preferred - Night Shift

As a Recycling Technician at our Auburndale, Florida facility, you’ll operate and maintain recycling equipment, ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards, and support our efforts in responsible resource management. What You’ll Do for Us Operate a variety of recycling equipment and compactor systems to process materials including plastics, paper, and cardboard Perform routine checks to ensure reliable performance of recycling and related manufacturing equipment Identify and resolve minor technical or mechanical issues to maintain operational continuity Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and permit requirements Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards to support safe operations Accurately document and maintain records on recycling activity, equipment performance, and compliance measures Segregate recyclable materials effectively within production and compactor areas for proper handling Support emergency response activities related to waste management and recycling initiatives Participate in project assignments to enhance sustainability practices and process improvements Obtain and maintain all required certifications, including forklift and genie boom operator credentials, within the established timeframe Demonstrate accountability and readiness to lead within assigned responsibilities by recommending opportunities for operational improvement Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or GED Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred with ability to operate and maintain production equipment Forklift operator certification desirable; must attain forklift and genie boom certifications within required period Ability to work independently on tasks with minimal supervision while meeting safety and quality standards Physical capability to climb, bend, kneel, twist, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, basic diagrams, and standard operating procedures Mechanical aptitude with the capability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance after training Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, night schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation, and additional hours or on-call assignments as needed Proficiency in English with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions Commitment to complete all role-related certifications within defined deadlines What We’ll Do for You Offer hands-on training and learning opportunities to grow your technical skills in recycling operations and sustainable manufacturing Provide access to modern equipment and technologies that support both safety and efficiency in your role Enable you to contribute to Coca‑Cola’s sustainability agenda and environmental stewardship initiatives within a dynamic production setting Develop your ability to manage projects and continuous improvement efforts that directly impact operational performance and community well-being The Coca-Cola Company will not offer sponsorship for employment status (including, but not limited to, H1-B visa status and other employment-based nonimmigrant visas) for this position.
