Roadmaps, architecture, integrations, analytics, AI use cases, governance, and investment proposals are to be jointly shaped and sequenced to ensure enterprise alignment, interoperability, and avoidance of duplicate solutions. Global Corporate Solutions and Corporate Real Estate The World Bank Group’s Real Estate Team (WBGRE) plays a crucial role in supporting the World Bank Group legal entities (IBRD, IFC, IDA, MIGA, and ICSID) by developing and operating their real estate assets worldwide. WBGRE’s primary purpose is to provide safe, cost effective, sustainable, and functional real estate solutions, enabling business units to perform their work program in line with the WBG’s mission to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. To achieve its purpose, WBGRE led by the Senior Manager is structured into 3 divisions: (i) HQ Real Estate Development Management and (ii) Global Real Estate Development Management and (iii) Global Strategy and Planning (GCSSP) or Center of Excellent. WBGRE also acts as the Secretariat for the WBG’s Real Estate Governance Framework, including supporting the WBG Real Estate Governance process. The Project Manager provides a cross-cutting platform capability serving all three divisions and the global portfolio. The role therefore requires active engagement with HQ, international real estate, strategy and planning, regional stakeholders, project teams, facilities teams, and country office counterparts. WBGRE comprises 80+ staff, leverages over 500 contractors, and manages an annual capital investment plan of about $160 million globally. WBGRE works closely with the Bank’s regions managing more than 175 country offices. Job Description The Project Manager reports to the Senior Program Manager of Workplace Strategy and Planning in the GCSHQ Real Estate Development and Management section and is based in Washington, DC. While organizationally anchored in GCSHQ, the position carries an enterprise-wide mandate for the WBG global real estate portfolio and serves the data, technology, reporting, and integration needs of GCSHQ, GCSIR, GCSSP, and relevant regional and country office stakeholders. The position goes beyond traditional system administration. The Project Manager owns, operates, and continuously evolves the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS), currently FM Systems, as the authoritative source of real estate data across the WBG global portfolio. The role combines operational accountability for the platform with stewardship of a forward-looking real estate technology and digital enablement agenda. The role operates at the intersection of technology, global real estate, facilities management, data governance, and business strategy. It ensures data integrity, system reliability, enterprise integration, and executive reporting; establishes the IWMS as the foundation for evidence-based portfolio decisions; and positions real estate technology to make responsible use of AI, digital twins, advanced occupancy analytics, and other emerging capabilities. The IWMS Project Manager and the CoE Technology stream are interdependent delivery partners. The IWMS Project Manager brings platform ownership, real estate process expertise, operational priorities, data stewardship, and user requirements. The CoE Technology stream brings cross-portfolio digital enablement leadership, architecture alignment, technology standards, innovation coordination, and enterprise integration perspectives. Neither stream should develop material technology roadmaps, new solutions, integrations, or AI-enabled capabilities affecting the real estate technology ecosystem in isolation from the other. GLOBAL MANDATE: This role is accountable for the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) as the authoritative real estate data platform across the WBG global portfolio, including headquarters and country office locations. The role is not limited to HQ operations. Duties and accountabilities include but are not limited to: I. Global Real Estate Technology Strategy and Innovation • Develop and maintain, jointly with the CoE Technology stream, the corporate real estate component of a multi-year Digital Enablement and Technology Roadmap covering HQ and the international portfolio, aligned with WBG enterprise architecture standards and GCSCR strategic priorities. • Maintain a single, coherent vision for the IWMS platform and its relationship to the broader global digital enablement ecosystem, including clear sequencing, dependencies, ownership, and decision points. • Evaluate emerging workplace technologies, including AI-enabled tools, digital twins, smart building platforms, occupancy sensing, workplace analytics, and mobile solutions, through structured assessments coordinated with the CoE Technology stream. • Build business cases for investment in new global capabilities, quantifying operational value, cost efficiency, scalability, user impact, and strategic benefit for leadership decision-making. • Ensure that proposed tools or supplementary platforms are interoperable with the IWMS ecosystem, consistent with enterprise standards, a
