As a Project Manager III within PNC's Corporate Technology Office organization, you will be based in Strongsville, OH, Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. Job Description The CTO Technology Portfolio Management Office (TPMO) is a centralized program and project management organization that partners across the CTO portfolio to deliver technology initiatives that support business strategy, operational transformation, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology capabilities. The team is responsible for driving execution excellence through program governance, integrated planning, financial management, risk management, stakeholder engagement, dependency management, and benefit realization. TPMO's role extends beyond project administration; the organization is evolving toward being a strategic delivery partner that helps align business and technology priorities, influences decisions early, and drives measurable outcomes. The Project Manager III role combines disciplined execution with strategic thinking, can quickly learn new domains, influence diverse stakeholders, and drive delivery outcomes in complex environments. Required Skills: Excellent communication skills Proven record of delivering complex initiatives and achieving business outcomes Self-starter who can operate independently with limited direction Strong learning agility and ability to quickly gain domain expertise Relationship builder who establishes trust across business and technology teams Strong risk and issue management capabilities, including proactive identification and mitigation Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset Experience facilitating discussions, driving decisions, and escalating appropriately Executive presence and confidence communicating with senior leaders Ability to manage ambiguity and create clarity for stakeholders Program or project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives Experience managing integrated plans, dependencies, budgets, and governance activities Experience partnering with technical teams and understanding technology delivery lifecycles Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and follow-through across diverse stakeholder groups. Preferred Skills: PMP Certification Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP, etc.) Banking or financial services experience Familiarity with financial forecasting, benefit realization, and executive reporting Experience working in large, highly matrixed organizations Knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies Experience with Jira, Clarizen Demonstrated peer leadership and mentoring experience Manages the most complex projects from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment. Accountable for meeting project objectives within established timeframes. May be assigned a single project or a portfolio, requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business. Typically, project size may be greater than $2.5m. Develops strategy, processes, resource allocation, budget, guidelines and support of project management team. Partners with internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assigns tasks, directs activities, and controls project execution. Coaches and mentors project team members. Tracks and reports progress, analyzes the results based on facts, defines the products of the project, and forecasts future trends in the project. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, devises contingency plans and recommends improvements based on results. Maintains communications for governing bodies and interested parties. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
