Project Accountant

SUMMARY: The Project Accountant performs a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and processing of project cost and payment records, including providing overall support to operations staff with financial details.      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting   or related field ,   or equivalent years   of   relevant experience   Tw o (2)   to four (4)   years of   Accounting   experience   Public accounting experience preferred    Construction industry experience a plus   D ecision making, research and analytical   problem-solving   skills   T ime management   skills   with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and   d emands   Ability to   work independently   CMiC   software experience   a plus     Able to quickly learn and understand new software and systems   TECHNICAL JOB KNOWLEDGE:   Independently updates existing account reconciliation and analysis templates (over   /   under billing ,   closeout reports ,   negative cash ,   prepaids ,   accruals)   E fficiently produce s   work deliverables   in   CMiC   Applies general knowledge of GAAP developed through education or experience to correctly record accruals ,   prepaids ,   over   /   under billing adjustments   Reviews,   validates , and analyzes   CMiC   reporting (P SR s   / Invoices to be posted, expense reimbursements, GL account balances)   Creates   accurate   schedules and   submits   to Management   Applies general knowledge of excel to update recurring or ad hoc excel schedules   CORE COMPETENCIES FOR THE ROLE:   Autonomy + Accountability   Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems    Receives instruction,   guidance   and direction from others   Accountable for work within own role only, but work completed   impacts   team and   /   or projects     Business Impact   Impacts   own team and adjacent teams   Uses   discretion to make improvements to existing processes and solutions to achieve results or improve efficiency   Assists   in basic business development tasks   Talent Development   Acts as a resource for team members with less experience   May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements     Problem Solving + Resiliency   Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work project / department with minimal oversight   Evaluates and selects solutions from established options and employs creativity to develop new options for consideration   DAVIS CORE VALUES:   TRUST   Excellence in Service   –   Fulfilling our clients’ highest expectations   Inclusion   –   Ensuring a culture of respect and acceptance, where all employees have a sense of purpose and belonging   Integrity   –   Exhibiting honesty and fairness while holding ourselves accountable for our actions   Building Relationships   –   Creating and   maintaining   strong partnerships through leadership, creative   solutions   and hard work   T he base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 DAVIS is committed to providing our employees with a competitive total compensation package that enhances your quality of life.
