We are looking for a Production Operations Specialist to join the Technology team in Salt Lake City, Utah, supporting Telemundo Utah. As a Production Operations Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for preparing and executing the operation of the automated production control system (APC) for live and taped television broadcasts. Responsibilities Prepare and direct live and taped news television broadcasts Code rundowns for all broadcasts using INews Work in conjunction with editorial and production personnel to create and execute newscasts utilizing an automated production control system Give direction and timing to talent and other technicians on broadcasts Perform Director and Director Assist duties as required Weekly disaster recovery training Perform other related duties as assigned Assist with editing newscasts, news content, and promotional topicals as needed Basic Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in television directing in a live news environment Minimum 3 years working with and knowledge of television production equipment Minimum 3 years of experience with computer applications working and monitoring multiple screens and software applications simultaneously in a broadcast environment Minimum 3 years of experience with newsroom computer systems Minimum 1 year experience with Automated Production Control systems (ROSS OverDrive preferred) Eligibility Requirements Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must be 18 years or older Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through  www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered Must be willing to work in Salt Lake City, Utah Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays Desired Qualifications Spanish language skills a plus Traditional knowledge operating video switchers and audio consoles Familiarity with Dalet Galaxy, ROSS Xpression, ROSS Cambotics BA degree in Telecommunications/related field or equivalent work experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to prioritize, perform under pressure and make critical programming decisions under tight timelines Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills Positive work ethic & attitude Team player High degree of integrity and professionalism Additional Requirements:  Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
