Production Assembler

Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as a Production Assembler on our 1st Shift.   You'll assemble, test, and inspect high-quality fitness equipment in a collaborative manufacturing environment.   Why You'll Love This Role   Four-day workweek: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM   Overtime opportunities available   Free access to our on-site fitness center   Eligibility for our Production Bonus Plan   Total Rewards & Pay-   Full-time team members are eligible for:   Base pay: $19.00-$22.13 per hour , based on qualifications and experience   Production Bonus Plan eligibility based on performance metrics   401(k) savings plan with 4% employer match   Medical, dental, vision, HSA, and reimbursement accounts   Paid time off, including paid holidays   Life, AD&D, and disability coverage   Employee discounts, EAP with free counseling sessions, identity protection, and legal services   On-site fitness center access included   What You'll Do   Prepare materials and components needed for assembly   Assemble products according to production schedules and established procedures   Use hand tools, air tools, gauges, torque wrenches, and testing equipment   Inspect during and after assembly to ensure quality standards are met   Test completed units to verify proper operation and functionality   Cross-train to work at multiple stations as needed   Identify and communicate quality concerns and assist with resolution   Follow material replenishment processes to support production flow   Maintain a clean, safe work area and dispose of waste properly   Perform other duties as assigned   What We're Looking For   Required Qualifications   Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work   Commitment to working safely   Ability to operate hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, and production equipment   Ability to perform basic math   Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality   Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team   Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English   Preferred Qualifications   High school diploma or equivalent   Previous manufacturing or assembly experience   Ability to read and interpret blueprints   Experience with hand and air tools   Physical Requirements & Work Environment   Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs   Stand for extended periods   Walk, bend, turn, and reach throughout the shift   Repetitive motion associated with assembly activities   Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels   At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. Your base wage will be between $19.00 - $22.13 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan, which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as outlined.
