Blue Yonder Title: Principal Technical Architect Location: Virtual within the US Travel is expected across North America Overview Blue Yonder is seeking a Principal Technical Architect to serve as the senior technical leader for large-scale, multi-solution customer transformation programs. This role partners with executive stakeholders, project leadership, product teams, and delivery organizations to design and govern enterprise-grade solution architectures that enable customers to realize measurable business value from their Blue Yonder investments. As a trusted advisor, you will shape technology strategy, drive architectural excellence, influence product direction, and ensure successful delivery of scalable, secure, and operationally resilient solutions across supply chain ecosystems. Scope The Principal Technical Architect is a senior individual contributor role within Blue Yonder’s Professional Services organization, responsible for guiding the architecture and technical strategy of complex enterprise transformation programs. In this role, you will lead the design and governance of end-to-end solutions spanning Blue Yonder applications, customer platforms, cloud technologies, automation systems, and third-party ecosystems . You will partner closely with executives, customer leadership, consulting teams, product management, and engineering organizations to align business objectives with technology strategy while driving architectural excellence, implementation standards, governance frameworks, reusable solution accelerators, and the adoption of emerging technologies that deliver measurable customer value. What You’ll Do Deliver successful enterprise solution architectures Lead the architecture, design, and governance of complex multi-solution Blue Yonder implementations , ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned to customer business outcomes. Establish enterprise integration and data strategies Define and govern enterprise integration patterns, API strategies, master data frameworks, and event-driven architectures that enable seamless interoperability across Blue Yonder, ERP, automation, robotics, cloud, and third-party ecosystems. Drive technical excellence across program delivery Provide technical leadership throughout implementation lifecycles by conducting architecture reviews, managing technical risks, enforcing standards, and ensuring operational readiness, performance, security, and observability requirements are met. Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders Influence customer and Blue Yonder leadership by translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes, communicating architectural direction, and guiding strategic technology decisions that reduce risk and maximize investment value. Accelerate innovation through emerging technologies Identify opportunities to leverage AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, and robotics within customer environments to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and business performance. Develop organizational capability and architectural best practices Mentor architects and consultants, contribute to reusable delivery assets and accelerators, support recruiting and talent development initiatives, and advance architectural standards across the Blue Yonder consulting organization. Influence future product strategy Partner with Product Management and Product Development teams to identify market needs, communicate implementation insights, influence product evolution, and improve customer outcomes through enhanced platform capabilities. What We Are Looking For Industry & Leadership Experience 15+ years of experience in enterprise software, supply chain technology, consulting, or related industries. Proven success leading architecture for large-scale enterprise transformation programs involving multiple integrated platforms. Experience serving in Principal Architect, Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect , or equivalent senior technical leadership roles. Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional global initiatives. Technical Expertise Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture and solution design. Expertise in APIs, integration frameworks, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise data architecture. Experience with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP. Knowledge of container technologies, scalability patterns, security architecture, observability, and operational support models. Strong understanding of supply chain systems and integrations spanning ERP, MES, automation, robotics, and enterprise applications. Blue Yonder Domain Knowledge Good understanding of Blue Yonder solution architecture across Planning, Execution, Platform, and Automation portfolios , including: Warehouse Management (WMS) Transportation Management (TMS) Warehouse Execution Solutions (WES) Robotics Hub Intelligent Fulfillment Blue Yonder Network Retail Planning & Execution Manufacturing Planning Blue Yonder Platform Leadership & Consulting Skills Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong consulting mindset with the ability to connect technology strategy to measurable business outcomes. Experience mentoring technical teams and driving organizational adoption of best practices. Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve complex technical challenges , and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
