Job Title: Senior Technology Consultant – Java Full Stack & AWS Solution Architect Location: Arlington, VA, New York, NY is Hybrid work model and St. Louis, MO is remote Overall Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Contract/Permanent Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack & AWS Solution Architect with strong hands-on engineering capabilities to design and deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React/Angular, REST APIs, and AWS architecture , with the ability to translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions. The role requires a combination of solution architecture, hands-on development, technical leadership, and cloud engineering . Day to Day Job Duties Define end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, modern UI frameworks, and AWS . Design scalable, secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud-native solutions. Remain hands-on with development, prototyping, and implementation of critical application components. Design and develop Microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven applications . Define frontend architecture using React or Angular and establish reusable UI patterns and standards. Design AWS architectures using appropriate compute, container, serverless, storage, database, networking, and security services. Develop architecture diagrams, solution designs, API specifications, integration patterns, and technical standards. Lead application modernization and migration of enterprise workloads to AWS. Design integrations across APIs, databases, messaging platforms, third-party systems, and enterprise applications. Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards. Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate architectural approaches and emerging technologies. Provide technical leadership and mentor Full Stack engineering teams. Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, Security, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams. Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security, observability, resilience, and maintainability . Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and provide architecture- and code-level solutions. Drive CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, and DevSecOps best practices. Basic Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Full Stack development, and enterprise software engineering . 7+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and distributed application architecture . 5+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions using AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture . 4+ years of experience with React/Angular, containerization, CI/CD, and enterprise application architecture/design . Technical Skills Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate Frontend: React/Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, Distributed Systems AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS/ECS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch Security: AWS IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, OAuth/OIDC, API Security Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB Messaging: Kafka, SQS, SNS Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS DevOps: Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions/GitLab CI, CI/CD Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation Observability: CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana Nice to Have Strong hands-on coding experience and ability to develop critical components or reference implementations. Experience architecting high-volume and highly available enterprise applications . Experience with AWS serverless and event-driven architecture. Experience with application modernization and migration from legacy/on-premise platforms to AWS. Knowledge of API Gateway, API security, service-to-service authentication, and enterprise integration patterns. Experience with Kafka and asynchronous/event-driven processing. Strong understanding of Kubernetes/EKS architecture and container orchestration. Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of application security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and secure coding practices. Experience defining observability, logging, tracing, monitoring, and SRE requirements. Experience leading technical teams and mentoring senior engineers. AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification is preferred. Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other large enterprise environments. Strong architecture, technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role if in St. Louis, MO  $139,000-186,000 and if in Arlington, VA it is$153,000-205,000 and if in New York, NY then 1$167,000-223,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
