Job Description: Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position The Team The Trade Management Engineering (TME) group in Fidelity Wealth provides electronic trading solutions for Fidelity’s retail and institutional customer space. We are a fast-paced organization that is responsible for a applications and services that support order entry, order management, and a broad range of related services such as inquiry and operational support. This is a hands-on role as an individual contributor and responsibilities include leading analysis of complex problems, gathering requirements, and working with technical leadership to build a solution plan and timeline. The Expertise You Have BS or Master’s in Computer or Information Science, Engineering, or Mathematics 7 years of Analysis experience, with a proven track record of delivery of complex technology projects Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization Ability to read/analyze code and logs for defect/incident triage and root cause analysis is strongly desired Ability to understand the technology and software architecture of a complex application stack Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, constantly changing environment Ability to multi-task effectively while keeping track of details Strong understanding of financial markets and equity/option trading The Skills You Bring Expert knowledge and experience of taking complex features and breaking them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria Experience with minimum viable product definition and product backlog management Ability to comprehend and articulate end-to-end system workflows Strong contributor with a collaborative work style Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate impediments appropriately Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with business and technology partners Comfortable having trade-off conversations with business partners Experience working with QA and customer-facing resources on test scenarios Experience detecting scope changes and escalation of issues Effective management of project-related tasks and issues A keen eye for understanding the core of a problem, with the ability to adapt existing requirements for new technologies and business capabilities The Value You Deliver Lead the requirements gathering of new features and/or enhancements for the order validation component of the modern, cloud-based order management system Collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions for business problems Bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the why, and the value of new features and enhancements to the platform Contribute to enhancing systems analysis practices across a global team Mentor junior systems analysts when opportunities arise Work on multiple projects concurrently Monitor documentation standards and best practices Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
