Principal Product Designer, Growth Experiences, Kiro

We are seeking a customer-obsessed Principal User Experience Designer to define, articulate, and champion the future vision for Kiro and developer experiences within our AWS Agentic AI organization. In this role, you will excel at investigating, understanding, and designing experiences that solve complex customer problems through innovative solutions. Your passion is translating abstract concepts into solid design deliverables such as complex workflows, wireframes, user interface designs, interaction models, and prototypes. The ideal candidate approaches challenges with clarity and empathy, inspires others, and is driven to solve problems at a massive scale. As a hands-on creative leader, you will establish a vision and strategy, always putting the needs of our customers first. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate with product teams, engineering teams, and executive leadership to identify and execute on opportunities. You will distill customer insights into actions that benefit the organization, serving as the voice of the customer with senior leadership. Key job responsibilities -Delivering complex design solutions where the product strategy may not be fully defined -Analyzing customer problems and data to design delightful solutions at scale -Leading strategic alignment across teams using expertise in UX disciplines and processes -Creating user-centered designs through research, analysis, and close collaboration with product and business partners -Quickly generating user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to conceptualize new initiatives -Clearly communicating design work to leadership an across different audiences -Mentoring other designers and raising the bar for design quality -Applying systems-level design thinking to drive scalable solutions About the team You'll join a senior, tight-knit UX team within the AWS Agentic organization, a startup-paced group building at the forefront of agentic AI and developer tools on top of AWS's biggest investments like Amazon Bedrock. Design isn't a support function here: experience and quality are written into our annual strategic plan as core pillars of the business. The team is small by design to move fast with high autonomy. Your peers are Principal, Director, and VP-level leaders. You'll meet weekly with the VP and Director of Product. You'll be working within our Agentic AI organization, which is focused on developing autonomous AI systems that can handle complex workflows, make decisions, and solve problems with human-like reasoning capabilities. We're going beyond traditional chatbots to create solutions that drive efficiency gains. Operating as part of AWS, we build upon Amazon's core infrastructure to advance agent-based AI technologies that are already showing impressive results, such as saving thousands of developer years in code transformation through products like Kiro and Amazon Q Developer.
