The PLM Program Manager serves as a strategic leader within the Collins Aerospace Digital Technology (DT) Program Management Office (PMO), responsible for orchestrating end‑to‑end delivery of high‑visibility, high‑impact PLM initiatives. This role drives enterprise alignment across engineering, operations, and DT, develops executive‑ready reporting and insights, and shapes the long-term PLM strategy and transformation roadmap within the engineering organization. The ideal candidate brings exceptional program leadership, high executive presence, and the ability to translate complex engineering, data, and technical challenges into clear, actionable guidance for project managers, functional groups, and senior leadership. ** This is a hybrid-based position at one of Collins’ major facilities. ** What YOU will do: Develop and own the executable PLM program delivery plan, ensuring strategic alignment with engineering, operations, and DT priorities. Drive the full vendor contract lifecycle, from proposal development to contract award and execution. Work cross-functionally to remove barriers and enable successful delivery, ensuring customer deliverables meet quality standards and timelines. Lead and manage complex PLM proposals and business cases that enable enterprise transformation, capability expansion, and strategic growth. Identify and mitigate program risks while actively capturing and exploiting opportunities to enhance outcomes and strengthen customer value. Collaborate across DT, engineering, operations, and suppliers to ensure integrated delivery and seamless execution across all PLM elements. Manage program execution within a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment and drive maturity in PLM delivery practices. Build and sustain trusted relationships with customers, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support a shared vision and ensure long-term success. Deliver clear, concise, and compelling executive updates, enabling data-driven decisions and transparent visibility across engineering’s PLM ecosystem. Qualifications YOU Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Strong program or portfolio management experience in a technology, engineering, or operations environment. Relevant, recent experience executing programs within highly regulated or controlled environments. Proven experience managing end-to-end bid processes, leading negotiations and ultimately ensuring on time vendor delivery of contracted scope. Resilient and adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity and pressure in fast-paced settings. Confident communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders and technical experts. Proven ability to develop executive-ready presentations and distill complex data into meaningful insights. Hands-on experience with Teamcenter and Enovia PLM systems is true plus. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries. Prior experience in senior PM roles. Knowledge of portfolio management tools and frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe). PMP, PgMP or comparable certifications. Experience driving PLM transformation initiatives, engineering workflows, and digital thread enablement preferred.
